Try as I might, I will always be a tee shirt-and-jeans kind of gal. Though I will admit that those staples can get a bit boring and sometimes a little too man-ish if you're not careful {not that any of you ever look man-ish. Just me}
But by replacing ordinary blue jeans with teal skinnies and adding a couple of patterned accessories, there's no potential manliness here.

Monochromatic Pink
For some reason I've never been one for monochromatic looks. They tend to remind me of those Juicy sweatsuits everyone wore 'back in the day'.
Or Canadian tuxedos. Either way- not good.
But this one's different- the slight difference in the shades of pink keep it from looking one note and I like how the chain of the cross-body bag breaks it up a bit.

Pinspiration: Classic Stripes with A Pop
I love that the skirt is the focus of this outfit. I so often pair bright color or pattern on my upper half with neutrals on the bottom and I love the idea of mixing that up. Pairing bright yellow with a classic navy & white striped top keeps it from looking too sailor and the hardware on the bag give it a little bit of tough girl meets glam

Pinspiration : Spring is here.....finally
Pinterest is everything I love. Ridiculous amount of recipes. A boat load of beauty tips. And countless cute outfits to covet. However most of those images that fill my Pinterest closet are just that- images without their original source and therefore no way of figuring out "where did she get that dress".
But they say imitation is the best form of flattery, right? So I'm using my amazing internet shopping abilities to re-create some of my favorite finds. Every week, I'll post a Pinterest inspired outfit and how to get the look {usually for pretty cheap too. Why? Because I'm pretty cheap ;)}
So for my first Pinspired post, what better way to celebrate warm weather finally deciding to stay around than with a new pink chiffon dress that just screams "Spring is here!" Except I don't really see Spring as a season that screams. It might softly whisper but probably no screaming. So instead, this dress softly whispers "Spring is here!"
